As you know we love visiting new studios/trainers and sharing with you!
This week we want to hold the spotlight on one of our favourites – Dania! aka Freestyle Fit.
She’s been in fitness a lot of her life- growing up as a figure skater with a consuming practice of on and off ice conditioning, to later becoming a professional freestyle halfpipe and slope style skier.
Her experience with training, injury rehab, injury prevention, sport specific training, and strength and conditioning has come in handy in her role as a Personal Trainer in Vancouver, BC.
We have been going to her bootcamps at Equinox weekly on Wednesdays & love it! Always a killer workout.
So we then started doing some buddy PT sessions with her. (Half the price and more fun with a buddy!!)
Here are a few facts from Dania:
*Anyone can exercise if you have the right mind set… Grab a friend, get in a routine, and hold yourself accountable! Try some of these partner exercises at home or in your favorite gym space.
*You can always work out with someone at a different fitness level… don’t feel intimidated, there are ways to challenge and regress in every exercise!
*Always properly warm up… The most important thing is to get your body warm, your glutes turned on, your core engaged, and get your body moving through its natural range of motion.
*LAUGH! Make sure to yell and cheer your partner on, but don’t forget you are in the same boat, and in the end, your work out is what you make it!
She’s a lot of fun to workout with!! We will attach below videos we did with her to give you some workouts to try yourself!
